Are Our Pets Our Greatest Teachers?

How many times have you bought a book to help you train your dog better or sat for hours researching something that will give your pet a better quality of life?

My dogs have taught me so much over the last 14 years. There have been times when I have felt like the most incapable owner in the world and times when I’ve questioned my abilities as a behaviourist or therapist. How can I possibly help someone else’s dog when I can’t even sort out my own?

But if it wasn’t for their quirky ways and they’re terrible behaviour I would never have learnt everything that I know today. Thankfully the things I’ve learnt so far have resolved our issues but that doesn’t mean that they’ve stopped pointing me towards additional techniques to add to my armoury.

I am thankful to my dogs for everything they teach me and I have now come to the realisation that I will never know everything there is to know and there will always be something else to learn. This doesn’t mean that everything I’ve learnt and used up until now is useless, it just means I can add to my toolkit and enhance it.

Since I started my business back in June this year, I have completed my mentoring in Animal Communication and finally taken the plunge into the world of kinesiology. Yet last week they showed me something completely different, leading me to start learning about yet another thing (Which I will share more about in the future)

The techniques that currently make up my Canine Therapy sessions include:

  • Animal Communication
  • Reiki
  • Spiral Energy Technique
  • Dog Safe Essential Oils
  • Flower Remedies
  • Relaxation Techniques
  • Grounding Exercises
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Kinesiology

If you need help with your dogs behaviour or just want to talk through some of the methods listed above please get in touch via the website, I absolutely love to share my knowledge and tan all about the things I’ve learnt or am learning
